Choose a compact Yixing teapot for the way you pour
This collection contains pots whose recorded capacity is below 100 ml. Compact volume can suit a solo
session, small tasting cups or concentrated repeated infusions, but serving count is not fixed. Cup size, leaf
volume and the amount you comfortably fill all change how the pot feels in use.
Measure your normal brew before choosing
Fill the gaiwan or pot you already use to your normal working level and measure that water. Compare the result
with each listing rather than buying by appearance alone. A 60 ml pot and a 95 ml pot both belong here, yet
they can create very different sessions. Also check the opening, handle clearance and pour details in the
photographs.
Move up one band when you need more room
If under 100 ml feels too concentrated, compare
100–129 ml Yixing teapots. The
choosing guide explains why capacity
is the most useful first filter, and the
brewing guide offers flexible starting
points after the pot arrives.
Questions about pots under 100 ml
Is a pot under 100 ml only for one person?
No. It often suits solo brewing, but several very small cups can also be shared. Measure your cups and normal fill level.
Does “under 100 ml” include a 100 ml pot?
No. The boundary is strict: 99 ml and below belong here; a stated 100 ml pot belongs in the 100–129 ml collection.
