Duanni is strongly sandy — more bone than flesh, as potters put it — and among the most breathable bodies in Yixing. Very open. It suits delicate teas where you want lift and clarity rather than weight.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe form.\u003c\/strong\u003e The Fanggu form (仿古) dates to the Qing dynasty, attributed to Shao Daheng. Originally 'imitating a drum' — flat-bodied and round-bellied with a tightly seated lid. The name drifted over time into 'imitating antiquity'. Full, plain and durable.
