These terms govern your use of yixingzishateapot.com and any order you place with us. By placing an order you accept them.

Who we are

The store is operated from Qingdao, Shandong, China. For anything at all — orders, returns, complaints, or questions about a pot — email 2162788@gmail.com. We answer within one business day.

The teapots

Every teapot listed here is an individual handmade object. Photographs are of the actual pot you will receive, not a stock image of the model. Even so, clay colour reads differently under different light and on different screens, and small variations in form, tool marks, and firing colour are inherent to the material — they are not defects.

Capacities are measured to the base of the lid and are accurate to within about 5 ml. Clay types and shape names follow the traditional Yixing terminology described in our journal; where a claim about a pot's clay or maker is one we cannot independently verify, we say so on the product page rather than assert it.

Fitness for use

These are teapots meant for brewing tea, not decorative objects only. Zisha is fired unglazed stoneware; it will absorb tea over time and change colour, which is intended. Do not put a zisha pot in a dishwasher, a microwave, or over direct flame, and do not pour boiling water into a cold pot straight from a refrigerator. Damage caused by any of these is not covered by our refund policy.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice; the price that applies is the one shown when you place your order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order — with a full refund — if a pot has sold out, if a price was listed in error, or if we cannot ship to your address.

Orders and stock

Because each teapot is unique, an item can be sold only once. If two orders reach us for the same pot, we honour the first and refund the second in full within one business day.

Intellectual property

Photographs, product descriptions, and journal articles on this site are ours. You may not copy them for commercial use without written permission.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or the statutory rights of consumers in the EU, the UK, or any other jurisdiction whose law applies to you. Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Consumer rights

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you keep every right your local law gives you — including the 14-day right of withdrawal — regardless of anything in these terms. Our 14-day return window is offered to every customer worldwide and never reduces those statutory rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here when you place your order; the date below tells you when it last changed.
